Job Summary
Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to the work order specifications using advanced machinery or having an advanced level of skill in the use of warehouse machinery. Ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition. Maintain processing area in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Complete all required information entry accurately. Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Operate a hydraulic brake press, entering programs directly into the machine based on blueprint specifications.
  • Set up equipment by selecting, loading, and aligning appropriate punches and dies according to job requirements.
  • Create bending programs using bend deductions, blueprint details, and required angles or offsets.
  • Perform first-off and in-process inspections to verify accuracy and ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Use measurement tools such as tape measures and calipers to verify part dimensions.
  • Conduct routine basic maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and monitoring machine condition.
  • Immediately report equipment issues to the supervisor to prevent downtime and maintain safety.

  • Min. 1 to 2 years brake press operation experience
  • Ability to read, write & interpret instructions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and brake press operations.
  • Skilled in performing accurate measurements using calipers, tape measures, and other inspection tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and maintain high-quality output.
  • Basic knowledge of first-off and in-process inspections to ensure production quality.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
