Job description

Our client in Irwin, PA is seeking a machine shop tech to:
-Manufacture fixtures and parts for use in machines according to the production schedule
-Follow technical drawings and diagrams
-Repair and refurbish damaged or worn fixtures to minimize downtime and improve departmental efficiency and quality
-Collaborate with the Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and other cross-functional teams to design and develop optimal tooling solutions for customer parts
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably working with conventional machine shop equipment such as Bridgeport mills, drill presses, lathes, MIG/TIG welders, and cutting torches
-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (preferred)
-Willingness to be cross-trained in additional areas
-Ability to understand and follow ISO procedures and quality standards
-Ownership of required machinist and hand tools, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and related tools
