Job description

Job Overview:
Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and supporting production equipment and molds to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. This role includes preforming complete mold changes according to production requirements, along with preventative maintenance and trouble shooting of equipment and tooling.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform complete mold changed according to production requirements
  • Repair, install, and maintain production machines, molds, and facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-related issues
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs, during production, as well as scheduled maintenance
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment, molds, and facility systems
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments
  • Repair and maintain production molds, including inspection for defects and dimensional accuracy
  • Build, repair, and maintain fixtures used in production
  • Read and interpret blueprints, equipment and manuals and work orders
  • Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, and drill presses
  • Use hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments to perform maintenance tasks
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and process documentation
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions, defective materials or unusual situations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
  • Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to meet schedules and minimize downtime

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment and production machinery
  • Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and moderate to loud noises levels
  • Regular handling and use of industrial materials, including those that may be flammable or combustible
  • Position requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and use of hands to handle tools, parts, and equipment
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Requires close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus for detailed inspection and repair work
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and hear in a production environment
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times
  • Must follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred
  • 3+ years of manufacturing, maintenance, or machining experience
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
  • Experience operating machine shop equipment and reading blueprints
  • Welding experience (TIG/MIG) preferred
  • Strong problem - solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with industrial tools, equipment and maintenance systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
