Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Pipe Fabrication Shop Superintendent to lead and oversee daily pipe fabrication operations. The Pipe Fabrication Shop Superintendent is responsible for executing and overseeing all plans and activities established by the Production Manager and Project Managers. This role provides leadership and direction to supervisors and production personnel while maintaining clear communication between management and shop employees.

The Superintendent is accountable for ensuring that all safety, quality, productivity, and schedule objectives are achieved daily. This position will oversee shop operations, workforce performance, production planning, quality compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to support the safe, eficient, and protable fabrication of piping systems.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Workforce Management

  • Work with management to formulate and execute all operational
  • Establish clear communication between upper management, supervisors, and production
  • Direct personnel toward maximum performance while fostering accountability, teamwork, and professional
  • Monitor and guide supervisors to ensure performance is eficient and
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate production
  • Resolve operational and personnel issues in a timely and professional

Production & Schedule Execution

  • Monitor daily labor hours and ensure accurate time charging to
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, procurement, and project management teams to achieve production
Quality Assurance
  • Ensure fabrication activities comply with customer specications, drawings, codes, and Quality Manual
  • Ensure output consistently meets company and client quality
  • Support inspection activities and corrective action
  • Verify fabrication work meets all required quality expectations before
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the fabrication
  • Ensure all company safety procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements are
  • Monitor toolbox talks, STA 's and safety
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and equipped to perform their work
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as
Continuous Improvement
  • Research, plan, and develop automated fabrication processes and workow
  • Develop and implement new processes to improve production eficiency, quality, and
  • Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for operational
  • Support equipment utilization, maintenance planning, and process optimization
Materials & Resource Management
  • Monitor shop consumables and production
  • Order welding consumables, fabrication supplies, and specialized materials as

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in pipe fabrication, welding, or industrial
  • Minimum 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment

  • Experience with ASME piping fabrication, industrial piping systems, structural and Module fabrication
