We are looking for motivated, reliable team members to join our production operation in McKinney, Texas. In this hands-on role, you'll help support the equipment, processes, and people who keep our world-class manufacturing facility running safely and efficiently.
Starting Pay: $29/hr
Location: 910 Elm St, McKinney, Tx, 75069
Schedule: 5 PM - 3A, Monday - Friday
  • Availability to work weekends

Position Overview:
Prysmian is seeking an individual who is looking to join the Maintenance Team. In this role, you will be working as a Machinist in our Machine Shop.
Job Responsibilities:
Read blueprints and/or fabricate parts from samples
Work effectively in a team environment
Maintain a safe and organized workspace
Operate manual machine shop equipment, including:
  • Knee mills
  • Lathes
  • Surface grinders
  • Saws
  • Hoist
  • Drill press
  • Morrison key seater
  • Forklift

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must provide own tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience with lathes, mills, grinders, metalworking processes, and cutting tools
  • Preferred: Minimum 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment

Note: This position does not involve CNC equipment
Physical Requirements
This position involves:
  • Repetitive movement
  • Frequent walking throughout the facility
  • Kneeling, crouching, and stooping
  • Use of hands to operate tools, parts, and equipment
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. while bending, twisting, and standing
