2nd Shift Machine Shop Lead (Working Lead)
Location: Waukesha County, WI Shift: 2nd Shift 2pm-10pm
Position Type: Direct Hire
Are you a hands-on machining professional who enjoys leading by example? One of our longstanding manufacturing clients is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Shop Lead to help oversee daily operations while remaining actively involved on the shop floor.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead and support machine shop employees on 2nd shift
  • Serve as a technical resource for setup, machining, and troubleshooting
  • Help coordinate daily workflow and priorities to meet production schedules
  • Monitor quality standards and promote continuous improvement
  • Train and mentor team members as needed
  • Partner with management to drive safety, productivity, and teamwork
  • Remain hands-on in machining operations and assist where needed
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous machine shop leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong machining background in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documentation
  • Experience with CNC machining operations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A team-oriented leader who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working alongside the crew
Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Direct-hire position with a stable, growing manufacturer
  • Ability to make an immediate impact on shop operations
  • Collaborative leadership team
  • Opportunity to work for a company that values craftsmanship, quality, and employee contributions
If you have machine shop leadership experience and enjoy being part of the action on the production floor, we'd love to discuss this opportunity with you.
