Job description


As a Machine Operator here at Honeywell, you will ensure efficient, safe machining processes, lead a skilled team, and collaborate to meet production goals and customer requirements, driving continuous improvement.
THIS ROLE WILL SUPPORT 3rd SHIFT, NOT INCLUDING ANY MANDATED OVERTIME
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
  • Must be willing and able to work in a "work cell" environment and dedicated to high quality of work.
  • Machine Shop working environment
  • Typical dexterity to set up and operate miscellaneous equipment.
  • Will work with coolant and oil matrials
  • Must wear safety glasses with side shields.
  • Practice general housekeeping activities daily in cell
  • Occasional weight- lifting required up to 35 lbs

Responsibilities
  • Set-up , operate, and maintain polishing and visual equipment to align to daily goals
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Collaborates with other Operators and Cell Leaders around current and future advancements.
  • Conducts quality inspections on production, parts using standard and specialized measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • May be responsible for training and mentoring other machine operators

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Demonstrated productivity skills and abilities on current job plus 1 year experience at level "C", 200 hours of vocational machine shop training and 6 months evaluation period, or 1 year experience at level "D", with 270 hours of vocational machine shop training and 6 months evaluation period, or 1 year experience at level "D", with 270 hours of vocational machine shop training and 6 months evaluation period

  • OR 3 years of outside machine shop experience (two axis)

  • OR 1038 hours of vocational machine shop training with 6 months evaluation period and 60 day review

  • An ability to support 3RD shift hours and work over-time as needed per Union requirements

Hourly Pay Range
The hourly range for this position is $33.52. Please note that this compensation information serves as a general guideline.
