Shop Machinist

Rio Controls & Hydraulics is expanding in the locations listed below. RCH is looking for long term team members who want to be an integral part of our growing business where each member has a direct contribution on the direction we take as a company.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operate a variety of machines, tools, etc to produce materials for jobs, service or facilities
  • Fabricate and modifying material
  • Utilize machining knowledge and mechanical aptitude to assist in engineering, design and assembly
  • Any other duties required by the company
  • Service
  • Maintaining a high level of communication with the service supervisor
  • Responsible for equipment/tooling and consumables for job and any items to complete the task(s) asked of them
  • Responsible in helping keeping machinist area clean
  • Project management:
  • Responsible for letting the service manager know if help is needed on projects to complete the repairs in the allotted time
  • Inventory and recording:
  • Responsible for making sure that all parts taken from inventory are written down and all paperwork is turned into the office coordinator and service supervisor
  • Responsible for making sure all parts not used on the job are turned back into inventory control department

Practical experience

2. Valid driver's license

3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a machinist

4. Good communications skills

5. Knowledge in reading and interpreting schematics for machining
