Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Brake Press Operator to join a production team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring accurate metal fabrication.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and confident in both machine setup and operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation & Setup

• Set up and operate press brake machines for precision metal forming

• Adjust tooling, dies, and machine settings to meet specifications

• Perform routine machine checks and adjustments to ensure optimal performance

Quality & Measurement

• Accurately use measuring tools such as calipers, squares, and protractors

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine production specifications

• Ensure all work meets quality and accuracy standards

General Duties

• Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and company policies

• Assist with additional shop tasks as needed

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

Required:

• 2–3 years of press brake operation experience

• At least 1 year of experience with flat layouts, bend allowances, press brake programming, and setup

• High school diploma or GED

• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills

• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work overtime when needed

• Flexibility to switch tasks based on shop demands

Preferred:

• Experience in the sheet metal industry

Working Conditions:

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and materials

• Frequent standing for long periods in a physically demanding role

• Ability to lift or maneuver 50 lbs regularly
