Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Repair Mechanic

Job Description: As a Maintenance Repair Mechanic, you’ll work with minimum supervision and be responsible for keeping all equipment/machinery in the plant functioning, troubleshooting problems as they arise, and implementing preventative maintenance. This includes responsibility for identifying parts and critical spares for the plant and maintaining all equipment in a safe working condition.

Responsibilities: 

•             Perform the duties of Machine Repair Mechanic in a safe and timely manner.
•             Maintenance and Repairs: Repair production equipment as needed.
•             Implementation and execution of Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
•             Accurate reporting of maintenance work performed, material and parts used on a daily basis and any associated JSA - JHA/or SOP.
•             Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., repetitive motion, pushing, pulling and reaching as well as general cleanliness and tidiness of the work area(s).
•             Other Duties: All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to perform work with hands and/or arms in the same repetitive motion above and below shoulder level.
  • Working knowledge of machine operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic Computer Skills and fundamental understanding of Preventative Maintenance Programs [CMMS].
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot the following:
    • Electrical systems (24 VDC, 110V, 480/600V 3-phase)
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Reading and interpreting schematics
  • The ability to safely operate power tools and forging machinery.
