Principal Job Duties

  • Operate the assigned thermoforming machine/s at the prescribed production rate
  • Start and stop thermoforming machines safely at the beginning and end of production
  • Pick up product / piles and pack into boxes. Lift boxes and place on skid
  • Remove scrap plastic from the machine and place into designated containers
  • Erect, seal and palletize packaging material according to the prescribed pallet pattern
  • Enter appropriate codes on the control screen for different types of downtime and errors
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor machine/operation issues like product jams, sticking in hot plate, etc.
  • Alert relevant personnel including Cell Leaders, Cell Lead Operators, etc. on a timely basis regarding any production, safety, and quality issues
  • Diligently perform all prescribed quality checks and closely follow product specs, packaging specs, and quality guidelines mentioned in each work order, one-point-lesson and picture specs.
  • Pack the correct number of parts (as per work order) in the box
  • Perform efficient and safe roll changes and follow the prescribed machine start-up procedure after each roll change and scan the material tag into the data collection system.
  • Ensure that appropriate supplies (Material rolls and packing material) are maintained at the machine as per work order
  • Provide training to new operators as and when required
  • Provide relief breaks to other operators as and when required
  • Generate and scan product labels as required and fill up the traceability documents.
  • Ensure that the appropriate skid type (as mentioned in the work order) is being used
  • Diligently follow lockout / tag out procedures whenever required
  • Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately in a timely manner
  • Follow the master cleaning schedule, sanitation, and hygiene procedures including daily superficial cleaning
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S in own work area and around work units
  • Perform all work in a safe manner and fully comply with the Safety and Quality (GMP) policies and procedures of the Company
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements                                           

  • Team player with multi-tasking abilities
  • Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Must pass Numerical / Comprehension test
  • Able to work day and/or night shift
