Job description

Quanex is looking for a Machine Operator - 1st Shift to join our team in Luck, Wisconsin.  

Are you ready to put your skills to work in an environment where precision, teamwork, and production power come together?  Join the team at Quanex and play a key role in turning quality lumber into a finished product you can be proud of. This hands-on opportunity is for someone who enjoys staying active, working with machinery, and seeing the results of their work every day.  Types of machines you may be working with include finger joint machine, optimizer, chop saw, glue press

Salary: $17.63 to $26.45 per hour, depending on experience.  

  • Potential for pay increase up to $1 if meeting or exceeding expectations at 90 day performance review. 
  • The level for each Machine Operator is determined by management based on the ability to train others and number of machines the operator can run while meeting production standards and quality requirements. 

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm.  Overtime potential on Fridays.

  • Assists in other work areas when the workload permits or requires.

What You Bring:

  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • At least 6 months of production, assembly, or related work experience preferred.
  • Manual finger dexterity skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Displays a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow.
