Location: Confidential Manufacturing Facility

Shift: 2nd or 3rd Shift Available
- 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10:45 PM – 7:00 AM
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced** **Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing presses while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. The ideal candidate has experience operating print presses, is mechanically inclined, and enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate printing presses for production runs.
- Ensure all materials are staged and ready before press setup begins.
- Clean press components and printing decks between production jobs.
- Install and remove print cylinders as needed.
- Monitor and maintain proper ink levels and viscosity.
- Adjust press settings to ensure proper print quality, registration, and impression.
- Inspect production jobs prior to startup and obtain required approvals.
- Monitor print quality throughout production and make necessary adjustments.
- Read and interpret production schedules and work orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Properly handle and dispose of ink and solvent waste according to environmental and safety guidelines.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience operating printing presses required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules and work orders.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/32 inch.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to move 55-gallon drums using a two-wheel dolly.
- Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and walking throughout the shift.
- Ability to distinguish colors and maintain visual focus during print inspections.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to:
- Moving machinery and mechanical equipment
- Forklift traffic
- Cleaning chemicals, inks, and solvents
- Moderate to high noise levels
Safety Requirements
Required personal protective equipment includes:
- Safety glasses
