Presque Isle, ME – Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Schedule: Full-Time/Nights; Monday – Thursday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM, and Friday 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00/hr., depending on experience.
Job Description:

Immediate opening for a Press Operator to join a well-established production facility in Presque Isle. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional seeking steady full-time hours, competitive pay, and the chance to grow with a successful production team. Benefits available after introductory period.
The Press Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and adjusting production press equipment used in the manufacturing of packaging materials. This employee will help ensure that production runs efficiently while maintaining all quality, safety, and production standards. The ideal candidate will have previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues in a fast-paced production setting. Prior experience operating printing or packaging presses strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate press equipment according to production specifications and schedules.
  • Monitor press performance throughout production runs to ensure product quality and efficiency.
  • Adjust machine settings, alignment, speed, tension, ink levels, and materials as needed.
  • Inspect finished products to verify compliance with production and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor adjustments or corrective actions as necessary.
  • Communicate equipment concerns, maintenance needs, or production delays to supervisors and maintenance staff.
  • Load raw materials and remove finished product from production equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Complete production records, quality checks, and other required documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Follow all company policies, PPE requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Assist with additional production or packaging duties as requested by supervisors.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant manufacturing or machine operation experience required.
  • Previous press operator experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 50 lbs. as needed.
