Maintenance Technician (Electrical / Industrial Maintenance)

Location: Plymouth Pay: $25-$28
Job Summary
Are you a hands-on maintenance professional with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills? We are hiring a Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving building systems and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong electrical experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot complex industrial systems, including PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Perform maintenance and repairs on plant machinery, equipment, and building systems
• Execute preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, including motors, relays, switches, sensors, and controls
• Work on cold heading machines, thread rolling machines, sorting equipment, furnaces, and packing systems
• Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
• Install, maintain, and calibrate electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Support PLC troubleshooting and online diagnostics
• Repair and maintain building infrastructure, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Perform equipment installations, alignments, and rebuilds using proper tools and safety practices
• Support new equipment installation and vendor coordination
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and update maintenance records in company systems
• Prioritize repair requests in coordination with production and planning teams
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, safe, and operating efficiently
• Operate forklifts and maintenance-related machinery as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
• Degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance or electrical technician experience required
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Experience troubleshooting motors, controls, and industrial equipment
• PLC experience preferred (Siemens S7 or similar systems a plus)
• SCADA and inverter (ABB/SEW) experience preferred
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics
• Experience with maintenance tools such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders preferred
• Forklift experience required or ability to obtain certification
• SAP or maintenance system experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with deadlines
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks
• Reliable transportation required
