Role Summary
The Gluing Feeder-Catcher supports folder-gluer production by feeding carton blanks into gluing equipment, catching and packing finished cartons, and performing in-process quality checks to help maintain safe, efficient, and accurate production flow. This role is essential to keeping folder-gluer operations running at speed while ensuring finished cartons meet customer specifications and company quality standards, including jobs that may involve specialty carton features such as braille embossing and automated detection and ejection controls.
Key Results Area
  • Feed die-cut carton blanks into folder-gluer equipment in a safe, consistent, and efficient manner to support required machine speeds and production output
  • Catch, stack, count, pack, and palletize finished cartons according to job specifications, pack-out instructions, and quality requirements
  • Inspect finished cartons for visible defects such as glue misses, poor folds, cracking, scuffing, warp, misalignment, braille defects, or damaged cartons and notify the operator or supervisor of issues promptly
  • Assist the Gluing Machine Operator during setup, make-readies, changeovers, and washups to help reduce downtime and maintain workflow
  • Verify carton orientation, pack patterns, labels, and counts to ensure finished product is prepared correctly for the next stage of handling or shipment
  • Remove defective products from the line and support quality expectations tied to the company's folder-gluer detection and ejection systems
  • Help maintain clean glue pots, feeder areas, delivery sections, packing stations, and surrounding work areas to support safety and equipment performance
  • Stage materials, cartons, labels, pallets, and packing supplies needed for current and upcoming jobs
  • Complete basic production paperwork or count documentation accurately and report scrap, downtime, or recurring defects as directed
  • Follow all safety rules, lockout or machine guarding procedures, housekeeping standards, and company operating procedures
  • Work closely with gluer operators, quality personnel, and supervisors to keep jobs moving efficiently and resolve problems quickly

Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or production experience preferred
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to lift, move, and stack cartons, bundles, or materials up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual quality issues quickly
  • Dependable attendance, good teamwork, and willingness to follow instructions and standard procedures
  • Basic math and counting skills for pack-out verification and production support
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, overtime, and weekends when needed
  • Experience supporting folder-gluer, carton converting, or finishing operations in a folding carton or print-packaging environment
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or other regulated packaging environments where product accuracy and traceability are critical
  • Exposure to automated detection and ejection systems or in-line braille embossing processes used in carton finishing
  • Experience with palletizing, packing patterns, and visual inspection in a manufacturing setting
