Job description

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Operates various molding presses following standard procedures(reading production card and work orders)
  • Functions in secondary position at press for cleaning and packing of parts as needed
  • Assemble products that require post-molding assembly, package and identify accordingly.
  • Readies tools and equipment with which to assemble parts.
  • Readies boxes in which to pack assembled parts and pack the parts according to directions.
  • Correctly identify material, inserts, labels, and packaging needed. Places finished boxes on proper pallet and applies proper identification.
  • Employee must be able to work by him/her self with little supervision on a shift assigned by personnel after completing initial training.
  • Responsible for a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
  • Maintains a 95% attendance for each month
  • Job is supervised by Shift Foreman and inspected by the Shift Auditor.
  • Employee will be scheduled for work based on Demand and Machine Schedule.
  • Must be able to stand while operating machinery. Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs.
  • Must show continuous improvement of press operation.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Successfully complete 3 months of training
  • Read and understand production cards, work orders, and first piece approval sheets
  • Understand difference between (WP) and (FG) products
  • Understand basic press operations.
  • Know and understand Quality Policy. Understands and performs visual criteria inspections.
  • IQMS usage - clocks in/out properly for work/breaks
  • Hands on completion of documents (Scrap/Production Report, product labels, and work in progress forms)
  • Understanding of all areas outlined on the Skills Checklist.
