Job description

SUMMARY
The operator will perform a variety of basic operations relating to metal stamping, rework, and assembly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates less complex stamping operations including single hit jobs.
May assist in and/or operate automatic and/or progressive die work.
Operates various spot welders on an as needed basis.
Packs, sorts and reworks (including grinding, buffing, or polishing) a variety of parts.
Loads blanks onto conveyor systems for robotic applications.
Occasionally checks own parts and completes history sheets as necessary.
Conforms to all company safety rules.
Conforms to lock-out procedure.
Mixes lubricants and transports for use in press operations.
Conforms with manufacturing tagging system.
Assures use of packaging procedures with assistance of the Level III Set Up person.
Keeps Set Up and/or Supervisor informed of all applicable information.
Has working knowledge of production equipment and procedures.
Constantly works toward improving efficiency, and ultimately, productivity.
Maintains good work area housekeeping including tools and equipment.
