Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cutting Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team focused on producing high-quality protective garments. The ideal candidate will operate Lectra/Gerber and other automated cutting machines, manage material usage, and support inventory control. This role requires attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet production demands.
Key Responsibilities
·         Operate Lectra/Gerber cutting machines and other automated equipment to cut fabric and materials according to production specifications.
·         Collaborate with other cutters and spreaders to maintain workflow efficiency.
·         Record and monitor material usage; maintain accurate inventory documentation.
·         Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on cutting equipment.
·         Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
·         Collaborate with production and inventory teams to ensure timely material availability.
·         Inspect cut materials for quality and accuracy before releasing to production.
·         Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.
Qualifications
·         High school diploma or equivalent required.
·         Experience operating Lectra/Gerber or similar cutting machines preferred.
·         Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret cutting patterns/work with online cutting software
·         Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
·         Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
·         Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
           Able to work in inches and yards
          Able to spread fabric manually and automatically
Schedule Requirements
·         Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed to support production timelines.
Physical Requirements
·         Ability to stand for extended periods.
·         Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
·         Manual dexterity and visual acuity are required for machine operation and material inspection.
