Position Description
Title:Ecolite Operator
Department:Operations
Immediate Supervisor: Plant Supervisory Staff
Status:Hourly Non-Exempt
Position Purpose: Operates the Ecolite Line
Principle Accountabilities
  • Responsible for the safe, controlled start-up and operation of the Ecolite line equipment including starting the machine, engaging the feed, observing the operation, and managing changeover process.
  • Inspects and measures completed pieces to verify conformity to customer production standards.
  • Monitors and adjusts controls to ensure products comply with production standards.
  • Supervises and instructs line assistant in all production-based tasks.
  • Maintains equipment through completion of assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repair techniques as required.
  • Records quality and production metrics via written communication methods and within time deadlines as necessary.
  • Performs all work in a safety-first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
  • Related tasks as requested by supervisor

Essential Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 2+ Years in a Manufacturing Environment experience required
  • Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
  • Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
