Responsibilities

·         Master the operation of overhead cranes to precisely and efficiently maneuver heavy materials, ensuring seamless workflow and optimal productivity.

·         Collaborate proactively with team members to orchestrate and optimize material movement, minimizing delays and maximizing operational synergy.

·         Execute thorough routine maintenance and meticulous inspections on the crane, ensuring peak performance and extended equipment longevity.

·         Diagnose and expertly resolve any operational issues, implementing effective solutions to maintain continuous and efficient crane functionality.

·         Uphold and rigorously enforce all stringent safety regulations and company policies, fostering a secure and compliant work environment.

·         Maintain meticulous and accurate records of all crane operations and maintenance activities, ensuring comprehensive documentation and accountability.

·         Proficiently interpret and apply technical documents, including complex blueprints and schematics, to guide precise crane operations.

·         Foster clear and effective communication with supervisors and team members, ensuring seamless coordination and operational clarity.

·         Proactively maintain a pristine and hazard-free work area, contributing to a safe and organized operational environment.

·         Provide essential support in the efficient loading and unloading of materials, optimizing logistical flow as required.

·         Actively engage in all safety training programs and drills, continuously enhancing safety awareness and emergency preparedness.

·         Promptly report any safety concerns or incidents to management, ensuring immediate attention and resolution to maintain a secure workplace.

·         Rigorously adhere to all established operational procedures and guidelines, ensuring consistent and compliant crane performance.

·         Diligently monitor crane performance, promptly identifying and reporting any issues to ensure optimal functionality and prevent downtime.

·         Implement and verify proper rigging and load-securing techniques, guaranteeing the utmost safety and stability during material transport.

·         Contribute effectively to additional tasks as directed by supervisors, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to team success.

·         Conduct comprehensive inspections of all rigging equipment, ensuring its integrity and readiness for safe operation.

Qualifications

·         Demonstrated mastery as an Overhead Crane Operator within a demanding heavy machine job shop environment, showcasing a track record of precision and efficiency.

·         Profound comprehension and unwavering commitment to rigorous safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a secure and compliant operational landscape.

·         Exceptional aptitude for interpreting and applying complex technical documents, including intricate blueprints and schematics, to execute flawless crane operations.

Working Conditions

The work environment involves occasional exposure to dynamic industrial elements, including moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, fumes or airborne particles, and varying outdoor weather conditions. This may encompass extreme temperatures, humidity, and the presence of chemicals, with a potential for electrical shock and vibration. The ambient noise level is typically moderate.

Physical Requirements

The role regularly requires physical engagement, including standing, walking, sitting, and utilizing hands for handling and feeling, along with reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasional demands include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, and the ability to detect odors. The employee must be capable of occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Essential visual abilities encompass close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the capacity to adjust focus.
