Machine Operator
Norcross, GA
Compensation Includes

  • 2nd: 5:00pm - 5:00am

Overview
This position is responsible for operating high-speed paper converting equipment to safely produce high quality paper bags, sheets, and/or pan liners in accordance with the job safety analyses, production schedule, set up instructions, operating procedures and quality specifications in compliance with Safety Programs and Quality Assurance Systems to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures
  • Read and verify order sheets
  • Understand print job requirements and quality issues
  • Perform quality checks on finished products
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area
  • Produce and pack quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practices
  • Maintain Food Safety and Quality in compliance with SQF Standards
  • Read, understand, and correctly complete daily paperwork
  • Read & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for production
  • Complete set-up and/or change-over activities with minimal assistance in allotted time
  • Participate in Preventive Maintenance Activities as assigned
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures
  • Actively engage in safety programs

Qualifications
  • Minimum of six months of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with a high-speed process
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
  • Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
  • Commitment to an accident-free and drug-free workplace
