Job description

With assignments from the Machine Shop Team Leader, installs proper tooling and makes necessary adjustments to tooling and equipment to produce a safe, quality product meeting all specified standards.  Produces specified product from set-up.  Makes minor adjustments and corrections to equipment to achieve required results.

Other essential job functions:

•    After initial set-up or change-over of equipment and/or tooling, makes adjustments to keep equipment producing acceptable product.  (Notifies Team Leader for major adjustments or non-conformance concerns.)
•    Makes sure all safety, quality, and productivity requirements are met.  (Notifies Team Leader for corrections.)
•    After any adjustments to tooling, equipment, gages, and/or fixtures using proper devices, inspects and/or tests product for compliance to safety, quality, and productivity requirements.
•    If proper adjustments cannot be made, notifies Team Leader for corrective action.
•    After all requirements of set-up and adjustments are met, the operator produces the desired product efficiently.  Notifies Team Leader of any procedures that cannot be properly performed.
•    Maintains proper housekeeping and workplace environment.

Performs other duties as assigned
