Skilled Machine Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining production equipment to ensure the efficient manufacturing of high-quality products. Machine Operators are hands-on team members working with advanced manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and maintain Cranes, Forklifts, and Material Handling equipment
- Operate and monitor production machinery to meet daily production goals
- Perform machine start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers
- Adjust machine settings, tooling, and offsets as needed for product specifications
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with control plans
- Identify defects and segregate non-conforming materials
- Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve minor mechanical issues
- Load and unload materials, components, and finished goods
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and inventory records
- Monitor cycle times, scrap rates, and efficiency metrics
