Machine Operator
Santa Teresa, NM
$19.00 Per hour ++
Skilled Machine Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining production equipment to ensure the efficient manufacturing of high-quality products. Machine Operators are hands-on team members working with advanced manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate and maintain Cranes, Forklifts, and Material Handling equipment
  • Operate and monitor production machinery to meet daily production goals
  • Perform machine start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers
  • Adjust machine settings, tooling, and offsets as needed for product specifications
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with control plans
  • Identify defects and segregate non-conforming materials
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve minor mechanical issues
  • Load and unload materials, components, and finished goods
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and inventory records
  • Monitor cycle times, scrap rates, and efficiency metrics
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S/6S standards)
  • Participate in continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
  • Cross-train in multiple workstations as needed
  • Assist in training new employees when required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
  • Basic to intermediate math skills (measurements, ratios, decimals)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, or specifications
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers and other handheld measuring tools) preferred
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Requirements
Previous work history in metal manufacturing, bending machines, CNC
