SALARY:The hourly rate for this role is $19.85/hour

VACANCY TYPE: This posting reflects a vacant position

LOCATION: Edmonton Brewery; 5 days/week on site

SHIFT: The shifts for this position are:

Shift 1 - 7:00am-3:00pm

Shift 2 - 3:00pm-11:00pm

Shift 3 - 11:00pm - 7:00am

Overtime Eligibility:This position is eligible for overtime payin accordance withapplicablelabourlaws and pursuantwithcollective agreement. Overtime is paid at the legally required rate and may vary based on hours worked beyond the standard schedule

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operation of machines, e.g. forklifts, palletizers (2), stretch wrappers (2), power floor sweeper & baler

  • Preparing bills of lading in SAP or other supply chain computer program

  • Engagement and participation in continuous improvement activities (5S, VPO, PDCA's, Shift hand overs)

  • Responsible for all HACCP and EH&S procedures in the department which includes but is not limited to: FG pallet inspections, trailer inspections, forklift inspections and cleaning

  • Receiving of incoming materials, completing documentation and general knowledge of chemical containment area

  • Completing documentation for all outbound loads

  • Recording of palletizer breakage

  • The operators may be required to train other operators

  • All other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Operating machinery (experience operating a forklift)

  • Engage in physical activities and manual labor as requested, including but not limited to prolonged standing, walking, lifting pushing, twisting, pulling and bending

  • Climb ladder/stairs.

  • Work on slippery floor.

  • Able to lift objects higher than the shoulders, be exposed to vibrations and loud noise.

  • Participate in the hearing conservation program.

  • Ability to wear all PPE as required: including safety shoes, glasses, bump cap (plastic insert), hearing protection (jewelry must be taken off)

  • Able to work shift work (Day, afternoons, and midnights)

  • Willingness to work with others (packaging department (employees, truck drivers, couriers, etc.)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

  • Willingness to learn supply chain related computer programs

  • Attention to detail

  • Willingness to learn and improve processes

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist maintenance
