Job description

Royal Hawaiian Movers, Inc. has immediate openings for qualified Forklift Operator(s) with at least 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience to join our warehouse in Honolulu.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Material Handling:ย  Safely operate sit-down, stand up, reach trucks, or pallet jacks to transport goods between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
  • Loading and Unloading:ย  Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers/containers, securing, shrink-wrapping pallets to prevent damage during transit.
  • Inventory Control:ย  Accurately pick orders, rotate stock, track merchandise using RF scanners or Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Safety Compliance:ย  Conduct OSHA-required daily equipment checks.ย  Report hazards immediately and maintain a clean, hazard free work zone.
  • Equipment Maintenance:ย  Perform basic upkeep and escalate mechanical issues.ย ย 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Education:ย  High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience:ย  1+ years of proven warehouse or heavy machinery (forklift) operating experience.
  • Skills:ย  Excellent written and verbal communication.ย  Excellent hand-eye coordination.ย  Basic math/computer skills.
  • CWC:ย  Operators usually work in a busy, fast paced distribution or fulfillment centers.
  • Shifts:ย  Shifts may include nights, weekends, and overtime occasionally to meet delivery demands.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to lift 50lbs unassisted.
  • Sit, stand, crouch or bend for extended periods of time.
