At MPP, you'll be part of a team that uses state-of-the-art technology to create components that power some of the most recognizable aircraft in the world, including the Boeing 737 MAX, the Airbus A320neo, and other commercial aircraft.


Job Summary:

This position works in our Post Cast department, removing the ceramic shell from the cast metal parts before the parts move to Final Finish.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with stationary and handheld grinders, grit blast cabinets and hand gauges.
  • Operations include but are not limited to Ceramic mold removal, abrasive metal cutting, plasma metal cutting, grinding metal, sand blasting, metal shot blasting, metal excavation, weld repair, weld blending, sizing, straightening.
  • Sorting / inspecting parts.
  • Follow written work instructions and tech cards.
  • Scan routers and input data in a computer.
  • Maintain tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to participate in ongoing training.
  • Must comply with all safety requirements.
  • Keep work area clean and free from debris.
  • Follow instructions and records information daily.

Schedule:

  • 1st (Day) Shift:  Monday - Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm
  • 2nd (Night) Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:30pm - 3:00am, includes 10% shift differential
  • 3rd (Weekend) Shift: Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:30pm, includes 10% shift differential (Work 36 hours, get paid for 40!) 

Work Environment:

  • May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels).
  • Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy.
  • Occasionally lifts 25 - 45 lbs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • US Person Status
  • Ability to complete tech cards and travelers.
  • Good attention to detail and eye/hand coordination skills.
  • Ability to stand for 10-hour shift
  • Ability to lift up to 40 #'s.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
