Job description


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Roles:
  • Arrive inbound loads into HFT Yard Management System (YMS) and assign yard zone/door assignment
  • Depart outbound loads into HFT Yard Management System (YMS)
  • Act as a liaison between Transportation Service Providers (TSP's), HFT Yard Drivers, HFT Yard Manager, other YMS Admin Clerks, and internal HFT departments and stakeholders
  • Work closely with all internal HFT departments to successfully execute YMS integration at the Dillon, SC distribution center
Responsibilities:
Communication
  • Work with HFT Management to communicate process changes, process improvements, policy changes, etc. to Transportation Service Providers (TSP's)
  • Communicate to HFT Management any issues and opportunities that require attention
  • Communicate YMS issues to HFT local and Corporate management teams
  • Communicate with HFT Yard Manager and HFT Internal Departments to troubleshoot and rectify any YMS and/or operational concerns that prevent or slow down YMS execution for Dillon, SC distribution center
Administrative
  • Provide YMS data to HFT Management and team members
  • Ensure 100% compliance for YMS implementation
  • Verify all necessary paperwork is present for inbound and outbound loads
  • Verify all appointments (inbound and outbound) are entered into YMS
Operations
  • Arrive all inbound loads in a timely fashion into HFT YMS System
  • Arrive all outbound loads in a timely fashion into HFT YMS System
  • Provide coverage for YMS Admin Clerks when necessary
  • Monitor productivity of HFT Yard Driver Fleet
  • Monitor execution of deliverables by HFT Yard Driver Fleet
  • Utilize HFT YMS to move containers and trailers in to and out of quarantine area
  • Schedule and notify internal departments for live unloads/live loads in HFT YMS using various communication methods
  • Perform regular Yard Audits in conjunction with HFT Yard Driver Fleet to ensure YMS accuracy
  • Perform ongoing YMS Training for HFT Yard Driver Fleet and HFT YMS Admin Clerks
  • Report safety observations, accidents, and incidents to HFT Yard Supervisor and EHS Manager
  • Enter all necessary and relevant data in HFT YMS System for data accuracy
  • Coordinate traffic control with Allied Barton Loss Prevention guard to ensure safety of vendors, drivers, loss prevention guards, equipment, and products
Reporting
  • Report any required HFT YMS Admin Clerical report functions
  • Provide any and all necessary reports to HFT Transportation Manager and other HFT Management team members.

The anticipated rate for this position is $20.50 per hour depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 152 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Requirements
Job Qualifications - Education and Experience
  • Knowledge of PC's and word processing software, as well as database programs (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) with the ability to access and enter information quickly and accurately.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to operate general office equipment (fax machine, photocopier, computer printer) stationed between 3 & 4 feet high.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift items (manuals, supplies, etc.) weighing up to approximately 50 lbs.
  • Strong time management skills are a must
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with specific attention to detail.
