Job description

Job Summary The Warehouse Operator Level 1 is responsible for the transportation of materials between the warehouse and production areas. This includes both palletized and non-palletized components from the warehouse to the production areas, and palletized semi-finished goods from the production areas to the warehouse.
The operator is also responsible for the collection and secure transportation of bagged, binned trash, debris, and properly labeled buckets and drums of production waste back to the warehouse for further processing. The operator is responsible for the routine replenishment of certain supplies such as aluminum trays and production pallets to various production areas. The operator will often be able to anticipate these replenishments but is also required to respond to requests for these and other items via phone call or page.
As business needs dictate, the operator can be utilized in other warehouse functions for which they have completed training. This can include but is not limited to the assistance in picking orders for production or packaging, or the wrapping of semi-finished or finished product on the wrapping machine.
This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor, and maintains contact with Warehouse Group Leader, other warehouse Operators, and personnel from various other departments during the regular course of duties.
Hourly Range: $13.04 - $18.26
Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Transports palletized semi-finished product from production areas to the warehouse for storage.
  • Transports orders of components from the warehouse to production areas.
  • Transports supplies (pallets, aluminum trays, etc.) to production areas.
  • Transports orders of central stores items to various in-zone areas.
  • Transports empty and full waste bins of varying hazard classifications to and from appropriate areas.
  • Transports documents through hygiene-zone to various offices and document passthroughs.
  • Removes bagged trash and debris from production/formulation areas to the warehouse for proper disposal.
  • Transports properly marked empty waste drums to production areas, return properly marked full waste drums to warehouse.
  • Transports bins of documents to be shredded to warehouse for disposal; replace full shred bins with empties.
  • Assists personnel from warehouse and other departments by transporting supplies and equipment to and from various locations within the hygiene-zone.
  • Responsible for the proper handling and reconciliation of controlled substances associated with the preparation and delivery/staging of raw materials used in production as well as processing returns from production such as WIP and finished products as needed. This includes compliance with documentation and accountability procedures.
  • Utilizes various powered and manual equipment to assist in the transportation of palletized material.
