Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

The General Production Worker supports manufacturing operations by performing packing, slitting, and machine operation tasks in a clean, temperature-controlled facility that produces foil and packaging for pharmaceutical products. This role involves general labor and production activities, assisting press operations, and ensuring that packaging materials meet quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform packing duties, including preparing, organizing, and packaging finished products for shipment or further processing.
  • Operate production machinery, including large printing presses and related equipment, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Assist press operators as a press helper, supporting setup, operation, and basic maintenance activities as directed.
  • Handle slitting operations to cut materials to specified sizes and ensure proper handling and storage of finished rolls or sheets.
  • Carry out general labor tasks such as loading and unloading materials, moving product through the production area, and maintaining a clean work space.
  • Monitor production processes and visually inspect products to help maintain quality standards for pharmaceutical packaging materials.
  • Enter production data and information accurately into computer systems to support tracking, reporting, and quality control.
  • Work effectively both as part of a team and independently to meet production goals and shift targets.
  • Remain on feet for the entirety of the 12-hour shift and move throughout the facility as needed to support production activities.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds when required to move materials, product, or equipment components safely.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures, including proper handling of adhesives and other materials used in the printing and packaging process.

Team members stand for the entirety of the shift and move throughout the production area while working both independently and with a team. The facility has a noticeable adhesive smell that employees must be able to tolerate. Dress code is typical for a production setting, focusing on safety and practicality to work around machinery and materials.
