Job description

**The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 2:45p-11:30p. Saturdays as needed** The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production line machinery. This includes equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance to ensure products are manufactured according to specifications and quality standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Operate production line machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Perform equipment changeovers and adjustments to meet production specifications.
  • Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or product defects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical issues during production.
  • Clean and maintain work area and equipment to ensure sanitation and safety compliance.
  • Measure and inspect product dimensions using templates or measuring instruments.
  • Assist with stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished goods.
  • Complete production logs and communicate issues to supervisors.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling and cleaning components.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
  • Awareness of sanitation and hygiene practices in a food production environment.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
