Description

Versatile and dependable Shop Assistant/Machine Operator will support Red Head manufacturing team in this fast-paced position. Employee resource responsible for backfilling production gaps and handling a wide variety of tasks wherever required.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into CNC machinery

Set up and operate manual lathes, drills, and Bridgeport mills for short-run jobs

Perform finishing tasks including belting, deburring, and grinding parts to specification

Step in to backfill tasks for team members to keep production lines running smoothly

Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings and use precision measuring tools

High adaptability and willingness to switch to a wide variety of tasks, frequently throughout typical day

Work in a manner to ensure production standards are met

Complete all required paperwork accurately, attention to detail

Proceed under minimal supervision, initiative-taker

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment across multiple shop stations

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, GENERAL WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Strong physical stamina requires standing, bending and lifting parts using proper lifting techniques, lift assist

Impact, crush, cut and pinch-point knowledge

Chemical exposure, SDS awareness

EDUCATION, PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
