Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

This role operates CNC machines in a modern, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility, performing setup, monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and quality checks to ensure precision parts meet exact specifications. The Machine Operator supports the CNC machining center by handling raw materials and finished parts, using hand and power tools, and following technical blueprints and work instructions to maintain consistent, high-quality production.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently to produce parts that meet production and quality standards.
  • Perform machine setup, including loading programs, setting tools, and preparing equipment for production runs.
  • Monitor CNC machines during operation and perform basic troubleshooting to address minor issues or interruptions.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into and out of CNC machines, handling items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Change and adjust machine tools as needed to meet production specifications and maintain accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on machines and promptly report any mechanical issues or abnormalities.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures.
  • Interpret and work from technical blueprints and work instructions to ensure parts meet exact dimensional and quality specifications.
  • Use hand and power tools to support production tasks and assist with general manufacturing activities.
  • Support the CNC machining center with general production and support duties as assigned, including cleaning work areas and maintaining an organized workspace.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $23.25/hr.
