Job description

Abaco Systems is a global leader in modular, high performance, open architecture, standards-based rugged embedded computing for the most demanding applications in defense and industry. Our products and solutions are found in high-profile military/aerospace sea, land and air programs, plus commercial and industrial organizations in which rugged reliability is mission critical.
The Conformal Coating Operator will assist with masking and conformal coating operations for the purpose of providing environmental protection for printed circuit boards to ensure quality as specified in customer instructions. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Conformal coating - including taping /masking product, washing product, and feeding boards to coating machine.
  • Touch up coat assembled boards.
  • Mechanical assembly as required.
  • Document quality issues and scan all boards in SAP.
  • Follow EHS guidelines: Safety glasses, proper lifting, and approved footwear.
  • Some overtime required.
  • Work in other areas as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience with touch up operating
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
  • Must be able to work without close supervision.
