Job description

As a Fabricator / Machine Operator, the individual will manufacture and assemble quality components by operating production equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and performing fabrication activities. This role supports efficient production operations while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
The Fabricator / Machine Operator will:
  • Operate fabrication, machining, and production equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Set up machines, tooling, and workholding devices for production runs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform cutting, drilling, grinding, bending, forming, and assembly operations as required.
  • Monitor machine performance and make routine adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency.
  • Identify and report equipment, material, or quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Complete production documentation accurately and maintain records as required.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a productive team environment.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance activities and routine equipment care.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, quality personnel, and production team members to meet operational goals.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot routine production issues.
  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment and hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials in accordance with job requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based production environment.
