Job description

Position Summary:

General entry level position that performs basic plant manufacturing and custodial duties as required. Ensuring Cellofoam North America Inc. safety requirements and core competencies are met.

Essential Position Requirements (include but are not limited to):

  • General understanding of the manufacturing processes and safety requirements.
  • Supporting and working with other plant employees performing various tasks as required.  Lifting, inspecting materials, finished parts off the machine, product, packaging, wrapping, boxing, and assembling as required.
  • Mark identifying data on workpieces.
  • Load workpieces or material into machines.
  • Move items from place to place, i.e., materials or supplies, according to direction from the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area including but not limited to cleaning floors, walls, restrooms, breakrooms, offices and other interior spaces, machines or equipment and manufacturing areas, with brooms, brushes, or using blower equipment.
  • Perform other production duties as requested by supervisor, such as custodial, organizing material or product, assist other departments with cleaning and maintenance, and other tasks.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve issues.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere with a culture of respect for others.
  • Uses appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding plant or employee concerns.
  • Maintain a working knowledge and is in full compliance with corporate standards for business conduct and Federal anti-trust laws.

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Safety ownership.
  • Must be Lock Out/Tag Out affected trained.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work while standing for long periods.
  • Ability to work while sitting for long periods.
  • Ability to maintain a brisk pace and meet standard production rates.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and overtime.
  • Attendance and dependability necessary.

Software Skills Required

  • Basic computer knowledge.

Other Information

  • Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Overtime work may be required.
