Job Title: Equipment Operator (Experienced)

Job Summary:
C.R. Jackson, Inc. is seeking motivated and dependable Equipment Operator to support our heavy highway, site development, and paving operations across South Carolina. In this role, you will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the high standards our teams expect.
You'll work alongside a supportive team that values safety, accountability, and doing the job right. This is an opportunity for a skilled operator who takes pride in their work, respects their equipment, and contributes to a crew that builds quality from the ground up.
What You'll Do :
• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, rollers, or similar machinery
• Perform pre- and post-shift inspections to ensure equipment is safe and job-ready
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and assist with basic preventative maintenance
• Work closely with crew members and supervisors to keep operations running efficiently
• Support grading, excavation, paving, and site development activities as needed
• Maintain awareness of surroundings, including personnel, equipment, and traffic
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction or related field
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Mechanical awareness and respect for equipment
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Willingness to work overtime, nights, or weekends as required
• Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE
• Valid driver's license required
