Job Description

The Leveler Operator Assistant position supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility. Sets up and operates automatic leveling, sheeting, console-operated equipment to level length and stack weigh flat sheets of various gauges of material to customer requirements.  Work from customer orders, engineered layouts, and general instructions. 

Pay Range: $26.27 - $28.27 per hour

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED strongly preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience with leveler machine.
  • Prior steel industry experience and product knowledge preferred.
  • Operational knowledge of crane operation, forklift operation and ancillary lifting devices.
  • Production operation experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work on 3rd shift, 11:00pm - 7:00am, S-Th.
