Job Title: Machine Operator START ASAP - PAYS VERY WELL WITH OVERTIME

Job Description

The Machine Operator performs machine operation and limited dimensional inspection to detect defects or equipment malfunction. You will be responsible for providing quality workmanship with great attention to detail and executing all processes as per standard work instructions or company requirements. Certification process training and requirements are actively engaged in, and operators are encouraged to offer improvement suggestions.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine operation and dimensional inspection to detect defects or equipment malfunction.
• Engage in certification process training and requirements.
• Provide quality workmanship with attention to detail.
• Execute processes per standard work instructions or company requirements.
• Recognize and identify suspect and non-conforming parts and high failure risk process events.
• Stop the process if expected quality outputs are not realized.
• Escalate issues to management if supervisors are not responsive.
• Feed steel into the die, fill press lubrication systems, and assist in die change activities.
• Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance duties.
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or maintenance workers.
• Complete and document in-process inspections as detailed on Operator Checklists.
• Conduct mistake-proofing validation processes

Work Environment

Work on the 1st Shift from 6 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with occasional Friday hours as needed. The environment is spacious, organized, well-lit, and comfortable

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
