Job description

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Machine Operator to operate packaging equipment and support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient equipment operation, maintaining product quality standards, troubleshooting operational issues, and adhering to all safety and attendance requirements. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working rotating shifts and performing physical tasks in an industrial manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities Operate packaging and production equipment safely and efficiently. Perform routine quality control inspections to ensure product standards are met. Identify and troubleshoot equipment or process issues to maintain continuous production. Support the safe and smooth operation of personnel, equipment, and products. Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Accurately complete production and quality-related documentation as required. Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and manufacturing procedures. Work assigned shifts, including rotating schedules, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Participate in safety programs and immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Ability to read, write, and understand instructions, procedures, and safety information. Ability to work flexible rotating shifts under a 28-day DuPont schedule. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Regularly stand and walk throughout the work shift. Frequently perform repetitive motions. Frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Ability to use hands, reach, and communicate effectively with team members. Visual abilities must include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment capability. Work Environment Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to heavy machinery and moving mechanical equipment. Work near industrial ovens, mobile equipment, and production machinery. Environment may be extremely hot, cold, humid, dusty, or noisy depending on operational conditions. Exposure to vibration, fumes, airborne particles, and certain chemicals may occur. Walking and working surfaces may be wet, dusty, or uneven. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, head protection, and respiratory protection when applicable. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, production, or machine operation environments. Experience working with automated production equipment. Knowledge of quality control and workplace safety practices. Forklift or material handling experience is a plus. Certifications Forklift Certification (if applicable) preferred. OSHA Safety Training or other manufacturing-related safety certifications are a plus. Education: High School
