Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Flat Bed Laser Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flat bed laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components according to production specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate flat bed laser cutting machines safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload raw materials onto the machine.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Adjust machine settings, cutting parameters, and programs as required.
  • Perform quality inspections using measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor operational issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
  • Record production data, material usage, and quality control information.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.
  • Assist with material handling and other production-related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating flat bed laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes is considered an asset.
  • Experience with CNC controls and machine programming is preferred.
