Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY OF THE JOB

This position is for a mechanically inclined individual who is detail oriented with a Quality Control  background. This position is responsible for the set up and operation of the sorting equipment to ensure parts defects are identified and removed from good parts.   The main role will be to handle parts after they have been sorted until before they are stored and shipped.

 
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Set up Sorting Machine by entering in specific inspection information from product print into machine.

  • Effectively operate, perform complex set ups, and troubleshoot Sort Machines with little to no supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Handle and dump parts into machine

  • Ensure machine and component parts are running properly

  • Weigh, stack, and move full boxes onto pallets 

  • Maintain records, documents and files as instructed

  • Move parts by hand truck or forklift if needed

  • All other activities as assigned by Supervisor

EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • HSD/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, previous machine operation a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Basic Math Skills. 
  • Computer knowledge skills for data entry. 
  • Ability to be Forklift certified as a requirement of this position.
