Job Description:

BW Packaging is looking for a full-time Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all production equipment. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs to machinery and coordinates vendor-specialists as required. The Machine Maintenance Technician may perform various building-related maintenance, repairs and support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery, production equipment, and mechanical systems, including CNC machines, forklifts, cranes, powered hand-tools and other related equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.

  • Maintain preventative maintenance logs, works orders, and equipment documentation.

  • Coordinate maintenance of company vehicles dedicated to business operations.

  • May perform routine preventative maintenance, repairs and support to building structures.

  • Maintains clean, organized and safe work areas while performing maintenance and repair work.

  • Identifies and addresses potential safety issues with urgency and promotes a safety culture.

  • Follows all safety requirements and procedures including lockout/tagout, personal protective equipment and brings a safety-first mindset.

  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with team members and leaders to support production requirements.

  • Respond to emergency requests for facility and equipment repairs.

  • Prioritize work requests considering the potential risk and impact on people and business operations.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics (to troubleshoot/repair machines).

  • Must possess valid driver's license and maintain clean driving record.

  • Site Specific: Knowledge of Mazatrol and Fanuc controls for CNC machines, desired.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED Equivalent

  • 5+ years of Machinist Technician related experience.
