Job description

The Katherine Thomas School Program has openings for Substitute Teaching Assistants for its early childhood and middle school programs beginning witht he 2026/2027 School Year. The Katherine Thomas School is a private special education school that services students with language, learning, and sensory motor disabilities and high functioning autism. This position is responsible for assisting staff in implementing instructional lessons and monitoring students. The substitute will always be in a classroom with other school staff. Working hours vary based on the needs of the program. School hours are 8:30am - 4:15pm or any portion of time during the school day when needed. EOE

Rate of Pay - $17.50/hour without a Bachelor's Degree, $19.00/hour with a Bachelor's Degree


Requirements for the substitute teaching assistant:

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Previous work in a school setting preferred
