Job Summary:
Hughes General Contractors is proud to offer a paid summer internship program for currently enrolled High School students that are pursuing the high school pathway in architecture, engineering and construction, as well as others who would like to gain a greater understanding of the world of construction. This Student Learner program gives the students the chance to gain an understanding of the construction process from start to finish, hands on experience to learn different trades work such as carpentry and concrete, as well as learning life skills they can carry with them moving forward.
The 2026 season will go from the beginning of June to the beginning of August.
We are currently accepting applications, Interviews will be held end of April and beginning of May W If you are interested in being considered for an internship, please complete our application and answer the included questions to help us best determine the right fit. All applicants that meet the qualifications below, are guaranteed an interview.
Min Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled in High School (in Southern Utah)
  • Must be between the ages of 16 - 17 years old
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable transportation

Additional Job Information:
This is a hands on learning experience. Student learners that are hired will be out on the job site working in tandem with their assigned supervisor and other employees as part of the team.
