Advanced Assembly, Inc. (AAI), located in University Research Park on the west side of Madison, is looking to add a Machine Operator to our well-trained and experienced staff. Advanced Assembly, Inc. is an electronics manufacturing services provider of electronic assemblies and products, including the Captioned Telephone (CapTel). This full time position offers a first shift schedule of Monday - Thursday 5:30 AM - 3:00 PM and Friday 5:30 AM - 9:30 AM, a competitive starting wage and a full benefits package. This is an entry-level Machine Operator position.

- Follow directions, read from, and interpret written instructions.
- Make sound judgments while operating production equipment.
- Organize responsibilities to achieve maximum output to meet production and quality requirements.
- Understand and follow all applicable quality system procedures and perform all assigned responsibilities outlined in the quality system.
- Keep work areas neat and organized.
- Follow established product handling procedures consistently.
- Setup, run and tear down jobs on each of the production lines.
- Operate the SMT line, Wave, coating or AOI equipment.
- Provide general assistance to the workflow when and where needed.
- Perform daily cleaning of machine as needed.
- Follow the daily checklist.
- Communicate with the Automation Technicians, Supervisor, or Team Leads on quality issues.
- Verify parts on the line.
- Assist Automation Technicians as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by primary supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports.

- High School Diploma/GED equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand both verbal and written instructions in the English language.
- Knowledge of SMT, Wave, AOI or coating equipment preferred but not required.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good verbal and written skills to communicate well in a diverse team environment.
- Ability to fill out daily records and logs.
- Ability to distinguish colors, fine circuit detail, and tones.
