PART TIME RESEARCH INTERN
New York University Tandon School of Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Part Time Research Intern to work with Professor Chinmay Hegde.

Tandon fosters student and faculty innovation and entrepreneurship that make a difference in the world. The CSE department conducts ongoing research programs in a wide range of areas related to computer science theory, cyber security, analysis, visualization data, computer games, and internet and web research.
Expectations
The duties and responsibilities of this position involve work on research projects at the intersection of health and machine learning methods, including computer vision and natural language processing. This includes developing and applying advanced analytical techniques, conducting experiments, analyzing data, contributing to research publications, and preparing presentations. The role also involves mentoring and guiding junior students in related projects. As our research objectives evolve, the specific duties and responsibilities of this position may be refined. Previous experience in machine learning, health-related research, and collaboration within a diverse research group is essential for success in this position.
Salary:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is $30.00 (for 20 hours per week) depending on the candidate's experience and qualification.
Expected start date and period of employment
Expected start date is: September 16th 2025. This position is expected to end at the end of the Fall 2025 semester.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least an MS in Computer Science or a related field, OR be currently enrolled in the pursuit of doctoral training for at least one (1) year. Previous experience in machine learning, health-related research, and collaboration within a diverse research group is essential for success in this position. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
