This role involves operating semiconductor-processing equipment in a cleanroom environment to support wafer and optical component fabrication. The manufacturing operator sets up and runs complex manual and computer-controlled tools, follows defined quality procedures, and helps achieve daily production and quality goals across photolithography, etching, cleaning, and metrology operations.

• Operate manually and computer-controlled semiconductor-processing equipment to meet daily production and quality goals.
• Set up and operate complex manual and computer-controlled tools used in photolithography, wet and dry etching, substrate cleaning, metrology, and related semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Work constructively with team members to process wafers and optical components according to established procedures and production schedules.
• Use computer software, including Microsoft Excel and Word, to track operational performance, document production data, and make minor adjustments to improve productivity.
• Follow quality management procedures, adhere to standard operating instructions, and promptly identify and communicate quality issues.
• Perform visual inspections using microscopes and other metrology tools to verify product quality and process integrity.
• Handle electronics assembly tasks such as soldering, working with circuit boards, and assembling electronic components as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with cleanroom and safety protocols.
• Wear required cleanroom garments and personal protective equipment while handling chemicals such as acids, bases, and solvents up to one gallon.
• Multitask and perform additional duties as assigned by supervision to support overall cleanroom fabrication operations.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to operate microscopes for detailed inspection work.
• Basic electronics assembly skills, including soldering and working with circuit boards and computer chips.
• Experience or aptitude in machine operation within a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Computer literacy and comfort working with production-related software tools.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to learn and operate complex machinery.
• Ability to perform light lifting and carrying duties.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of 3–5 hours.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing full cleanroom garments and personal protective equipment.

• Previous manufacturing experience in a cleanroom environment.
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes such as photolithography, wet and dry etching, substrate cleaning, and metrology.
• Familiarity with GMP or other formal quality management systems.
• Experience working with nano-scale or wafer fabrication processes.
• Comfort using microscopes and other inspection tools for detailed visual analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced production setting.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills related to equipment and manufacturing issues.
• Ability to work effectively with limited supervision and remain self-directed.
• Enjoyment of working hard in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
• Cleanroom experience is a plus.

Work takes place in a semiconductor cleanroom environment focused on wafer and optical component fabrication. Employees wear a head-to-toe cleanroom “bunnysuit,” including suits, hoods, shoe covers, and gloves, to maintain a controlled and contamination-free workspace. Personal protective equipment is required when handling up to one gallon of chemicals such as acids, bases, and solvents. The role involves operating complex manual and computer-controlled equipment, working with electronics assembly, soldering, circuit boards, and semiconductor devices. Shifts follow a 12-hour schedule of 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m., with structured day and night shift rotations and guaranteed overtime pay every other week. Employees typically have three 30-minute breaks per shift, with flexibility to combine breaks for a longer lunch period. Onsite amenities include a cafeteria and a breakroom with small lunch and snack options. The environment is fast-paced, production-driven, and highly regulated, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness, safety, and adherence to quality procedures.

This is a Contract position based out of Breinigsville, PA.

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $30.00/hr.
