Maintenance Technician - Levels 1, 2, and 3 (All Night Shifts)
  • Shift: Sunday - Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.
  • Location: Blaine, Washington
  • Hourly pay Rates: Level 1: $32.17 / Level 2: $36.51 / Level 3: $40.86

Maintenance Technician Level 1:
Performs preventative maintenance, including setting up, adjusting, and repairing all types of equipment to ensure the organization consistently meets our standards for quality, cost, and food safety by:
  • Responding to production floor maintenance calls from machine operators on a variety of equipment.
  • Performing assigned maintenance and machine breakdown tasks to ensure continuous production.
  • Attending and participating in crew transition meetings, as well as daily maintenance meetings.
  • Reading blueprints, instruction manuals, and mechanical drawings.
  • Using meters, measuring instruments, and calipers.
  • Reworking and rebuilding mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Performing electrical troubleshooting on 480-volt, 3-phase systems (including blown fuses, repairing, and rewiring motors) under qualified supervision.
  • Setting up and operating all types of production equipment and machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, welders) to make or rework machine parts.
  • Performing basic PLC troubleshooting.

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • PLC training or certification (or completion within 1 year of hire).

Experience:
  • 6-12 months of experience as a maintenance technician or mechanic.
  • Work history in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Maintenance Technician Level 2
Performs all Level 1 functions, plus:
  • Welding and fabricating machine parts as necessary.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing motor variable frequency drives.
  • Reworking and rebuilding mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Managing assigned projects to completion on or before due dates.
  • Scheduling and writing all work orders, PMs, and parts orders proficiently using iMAINT.
  • Performing sanitary TIG welding.
  • Setting up and safely operating all types of production equipment and machine tools such as lathes, mills, welders, extruders, ovens, conveyors, gearboxes, bucket elevators, and packaging machinery.

Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician or mechanic.
  • Leadership experience preferred.

Maintenance Technician Level 3
Performs all Level 1 and 2 functions, plus:
  • Programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and industrial computers.
  • Installing and calibrating instrumentation, including scales and temperature sensors.
  • Inputting all work orders, PMs, and parts orders proficiently in iMAINT.
  • Reading and understanding blueprints, manuals, electrical schematics, and machine layouts.
  • Mentoring and training Level 1 and 2 Technicians to build bench strength within the maintenance department.
  • Leading and participating in maintenance projects and continuous improvement activities.
  • Performing sanitary TIG welding and plumbing as needed.
  • Conducting LOTO, confined space, and hot work permits as required.
  • Setting up and safely operating all types of production equipment and machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, welders) to make or rework required parts.

Education:
  • Certificate in HVAC, Instrumentation Technology, or a related field.
  • PLC training or certification.
  • Electrical tradesperson or apprentice.

Experience:
  • 6-10 years of experience as a maintenance technician or mechanic (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Strong mathematical and computer skills.
  • Solid safety awareness and basic understanding of OSHA regulations related to manufacturing.
  • Forklift operation experience required; large equipment operation preferred.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with strong mechanical aptitude
