Job description

Location: Vollrath Company, Kiel Wisconsin
Shift: 2nd Shift (Hours: Start- 5a to 6a, End- 2:30p to 3:30p)
Pay: $34.64
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
Utilize skills and knowledge to build, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve tooling and procedures. Operate all equipment, tools, and gauges in the tool room safely and efficiently. Layout work and plan machining and bench procedures. Perform difficult machining operations requiring complicated setups that involve improvising tooling and machines for adaptation beyond the normal ranges and capacities of available equipment. Clean and perform all daily and periodic maintenance necessary for this equipment. Know the properties and uses of different metals and materials, and know the feeds, speeds, coolant/lubricant, and compatible cutting tool material to utilize or apply. Prioritize jobs and work independently and expeditiously until the job is completed. Show ability to assume a leadership role in an orderly investigation team. Properly document all findings and record all corrections or improvements, also provide detailed drawings and sketches of the alterations or modifications for engineering documentation. Read and understand customer part prints/blueprints and build tooling with proper dimensions, clearances & tolerances, fasteners, strippers, fool proofing, etc. Program CNC equipment. Weld different types of metals. Heat treat (harden, anneal, and normalize) different types of metals. Operate forklifts, computers, and edit CNC programs. Must have completed a state journeyman tool & die apprenticeship or possess 5+ years of relevant work experience.
